I bought this bamboo tray from a thrift store a while ago. It definitely needed a makeover since the paint was chipping away.

I decided to make it a bit more graphic so I added a geometric pattern to it with black paint. First I sanded all the chipping paint away. Then I made a triangle template and used it to cut pieces out of dc-fix. I then taped the triangle pieces to the bottom of the tray and painted everything black. After the paint was dry, I removed the tape and applied a coat of clear lacquer on the tray. Here it is finished:

I’m really happy with the end result! I didn’t even own a tray before so this will be useful..
