I’ve been searching for bedside lamps for our bedroom for almost a year now. No success so far. I’ve looked new ones and searched for cool second hand lamps. The new ones just lack something, character maybe? And the cool second hand ones are nowhere to be found at a reasonable price. So what to do? Design and make your own!

Here’s how our bedroom looks like now. I’m thinking that lamps with an industrial feel would look awesome and break the formal feel of the bedroom a bit. So I looked for some inspiration and ideas and designed lamps I could (hopefully) make myself. Here’s a photoshopped picture of the look I want the lamps to be:

I designed a lamp with a concrete base and bended metal pipe. Then I would use a nice light bulb as a light source. This I just a sketch of what it could be like and the end result can be very different from my original plan. But I hope I can make something I like, something unique and cool.
