Mirror, Mirror…
The long search is over: I finally found the perfect mirror for our entry!
It’s old and worn, the perfect color and just the right size. It’s so old that even the backside is solid wood! I believe it was once attached to a vanity, because it has holes on each side. I found it while we were touring different thrift stores in Tampere. This was the first thing I saw when I entered the room… And the best part: it only cost 22 euros! I think it was so cheap because somewhere along the way someone had attached an ugly pineapple transfer sticker to the glass (?!?). But I was able to remove it with a bit of paint stripper and scraping (phew!).
Is’nt it so pretty?

For Craft Fair
We are having a craft fair in our school next week and I decided to try and sell something. I made these Christmas ornaments to sell at the fair. Hope someone will buy them!
The wooden star is really easy to make, I drilled holes at the ends of the sticks and combined them with jute string. I think they are pretty as is, but they could also be decorated with lights, ribbons or beads.
I’m also making some concrete candleholders to sell. They are drying as I type…

Birthday!
Today is my 22nd and NimiDesign’s 1st birthday! Yay!
I’m just relaxing and enjoying my day today. Had an amazing brunch with my husband earlier and now I’m finishing up some projects.
I’ve been busy lately and would have wanted to have something nice to show you today, but instead I’m only showing some work in progress: dining chairs sanded and ready for paint!
Paint is drying as I type so hopefully I have something new to share soon…
